HOW TO GET STARTED

  • First of all, come in and watch one of the training sessions. You can locate the current schedule by clicking on the "Current Schedule" link on the left sidebar. Next, come in for the free Sunday morning session that occurs every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. No CrossFit experience necessary. After you experience a dose of the CrossFit experience, you will need to sign up for three one-hour private sessions with a trainer. You will be introduced to the nine foundational movements of CrossFit and also to some of the equipment that we use on a daily basis. The cost for the three sessions is $150. Call freddy c. (510-209-8990) or call One World (510-663-9675) between 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm Monday through Friday to set up your private sessions. Once you complete the introductory private sessions you are free to come to any CrossFit session you like as either a member or via drop-in fee. FIGHT GONE BAD II

The Fight Gone Bad II Fundraiser is Saturday, 9/29/2007, at 3:00 PM.

I would like to personally invite everyone to visit One World for this event. We need spectators too! Come out and support the athletes working out for a good cause. Plus, there is the added fact that we will have a good party afterwards. If you have been thinking about trying Crossfit, this is the perfect opportunity for you to give a WOD a free test ride. The workout is scaleable. There will be a demonstration of each technique, and instruction given during the workout if it is your first time. I will be picking out a couple of you Crossfit One World  Superstars to be my demo athletes for the FGB instruction.

Everyone, please keep an eye out for the pot luck food sign-up for the event. A big thank you to Lara Kellogg for setting up the party portion of the event. Let's all hope she bakes a few of those not so Zone friendly goodies she is famous for!

Participating athletes: It is still not to late for anyone to sign up for the event. Please remember that you need at least $150 in donations for your points from the workout to count toward the team's total points. It doesn't matter if you are a class D, C, B, or A athlete. If you are registerd with $150 in donations, the points count. Anyone can participate in the event whether they are registered or not, or whether or not they have raised $150.

  • 5 rounds of 5 squats/5 push-ups
  • Run 400m
  • 5 rounds of 5 burpees/5 knees to elbows
  • Run 400m
  • 5 rounds of 5 wall balls (20#)/5 dumbbell sumo deadlifts (35#)
  • Run 400m
  • 5 rounds of 5 pull-ups/5 box jumps (24")
  • Run 400m
  • 5 rounds of 5 sit-ups/5 back extensions
