About Crossfit One World

  • How do you get started? Check out the links on the side bar entitled "What is Crossfit?" and "What is Fitness?" Next, come down to One World and watch a group session or participate in the always free Sunday morning workout session (no prior Crossfit experience necessary). You can experience first hand what a great time we have! After you have tasted a bit of the Koolaid, you will need to schedule your three introductory private training sessions. These sessions cover the fundamental movements you need to know to make your Crossfit training a much more enjoyable experience. (Private sessions may be scheduled as small groups also.) Upon completion of the private sessions, you may become a full fledged member or you may continue your training via private sessions. Contact freddy c. SAM I AM

"That's a Ton of Lifts!"

Get 2000# overhead for time. Pick a weight (for example, 100# on a barbell, or 100# total weight in dumbbells) Get the weight overhead (full lockout) by pressing, push pressing, or push jerking. Add the amount of eah press until the weight equals 2000# (100# X 20 lifts = 2000#) The catch: you must do 5 burpees every 5 reps.

Wow!!! I stop by One World while on duty just to say hi, and hot girls want to take a picture with me. Sometimes being a cop is a cool gig! That's Julia and Catra, One World's Ultramarathon runners.

The first and only member of The One World 40 Pull-up Club. The guy doesn't even pause. I know he can do over 50. Raz said he didn't want to set the bar to high for the rest of us....

Have you met Mia yet? Mia played D1 soccer in college. She is currently a soccer coach at Ohlone College. Did you know that she also coaches the One World Juniors Program two days a week? The kids in One World Juniors love her

To tell you the truth, I think Mia is cool because every now and then she comes in wearing these socks.... for some reason, I just dig 'em! Soccer chicks KICK ass!

This is me being TOTALLY lazy. Some of you asked me to post your results. So, here you go.....hehehe. The order is Run/Row/Pull-up/Push-up/Sit-up. There were many new personal records set today. Congrats and awesome work to everyone!

On a side note, feel free to use the laptop at One World to post your results before you leave. Ask your instructor for the password and to show you how to post.

Julia Bramer PR'd 7:07, Jerry Roninger PR'd 6:17 and me Catra Corbett got a special award for 10 straight finishes 6:42. We all agree Crossfit One World has helped us all improve our times and how great we feel during and after our Ultramarathons.

New toys in the One World toy box: 53# kettlebells. We got a new 44# KB too. Also on the horizon: three new climbing ropes and another rower were ordered today. Good news for you all: We can now do more rope climbing and rowing WOD's!

We are closed for Thanksgiving. There is one scheduled Crossfit class on Friday at 9 AM. The gym will be open Friday night from 6:30-9:00 PM for open gym training.
