BETTER THAN NASCAR!

There were some great times posted by everyone during the 5k run portion of the 2008 Crossfit One World WOD Challenge. A ton of new PR's! Several people who actually completed the 5k for the first time! What a great day, even though it was the hottest day of the year so far. The best race for 5k occurred during the 6:30 AM session. Tracey from Canada (left) and Stefanie from One World (right) duked it out during their 5k run. The lead changed hands three times. Stefanie was able to dig a little deeper and pulled out the victory. Tracey is visiting the states for the Crossfit Trainer Certification
this weekend. Great to have her. She is running a very close second to
Stefanie going into the last event. GO USA!!! (Sorry Tracey!)
The last event of the 2008 Crossfit One World WOD Challenge:
WOD 5/16/2008
"Grace"
Complete 30 clean and jerks (M:135#/W:95#) for time.
Grace looks like this when you are good.

Go Tracey. Go Canada. (sorry Freddy) Your doing us proud. Show em what we are made of babe, then kick some ass!!

It felt good to be back and to see the Crossfit All Stars again, you guys are amazing!
Technically summer’s 35 days away. I still have some time to work on that bikini body. What's that saying...Just F N do it! Well it's not quiet like that.
Tracy piercing gave me an incentive. Maybe I’ll re-pierce my naval once I get back in shape. I had mine done in '94, I could rock it again.

Cheryl totally smoked Grace! 4 minutes, something in change Rx'd! I was around 1/2 way done when she called time! There's nothing more honorable than getting blown away by Cheryl!
I limped in at 7:30 Rx'd.
Tracey, your amazing! Thanks for yelling at me! I really do appreciate it! Wait a minute...everyone was yelling at me!!! Thanks everyone!

Holy crap! I'm so amazed by, and proud of, all of the females that Rx'd this! None of us did the last time around!!

Oh nice. Workout-mates yell at her and she thanks them...I yell at the Clone ALL the time and she NEVER thanks me
Personally, it's hard to watch your Clone smoke you in everything. But I am happy to be given the gift to get back into the game. I'm very proud of her, even if it sounds like we bicker all the time. She is awesome for an itty-bitty 5'0, 112lb auntie to my two rug rats.
Cheryl is a monster as usual -U go, girl!
Audrey is the "Quiet Storm". She is always a joy to watch. Her sheer determination is a testiment of how she keeps her lads in line....
Kudos to Freddy for the cold motivation after we all killed ourselves on this WOD.

Old age is catching up with me. I can't remember squat! Thanks Freddy for the cold one!! That was one of the few times I didn't care how much calories was in one of those! The gals earned it!
Evil Twin...you had 3 mother hens today yelling at you! I'm sure Tia and Britney wouldn't mind making it 5! All you did was *huff* and get even more sunburned!! DORK!!

Sorry we missed this one ladies, I had a to go to a baby shower and my partner, Brit, had to go to a wedding. We were definitely with you in spirit.

The thing I love best about the crossfit family at one world is that we all support and push each other. Like Freddy says, crossfit is about not specializing in anything. Some of us are better runners, some of us are better at the strength tests, but what we all excel at is the tough mental fortuity that makes all of us push and strive each time to better ourselves. That for me is the true measure of athleticism at crossfit. Every time we show up and put our best foot forward is a great day! Congrats to everyone for each of your personal achievements!!! On a side note- JD how the heck do you run so fast with all that muscle??? I heard from tracey that you were like a steam locomotive with the fastest sprint at the end of anyone!! It must be what you do when Britny tells you to do the dishes!! LOL See you guys!
