I recently wrote a post about California being the King of CrossFit. It didn't even really stir up any controversy when I made that bold statement. It's not my fault I think this way. Californians tend to think that our state is the best state in the Union.
This is the main reason Californians think the way they do: We have In N Out Burger. Nothing more really needs to be said..........
And yes, the delicious meal in the photo above is not "paleo." If you train hard, occasionally you need to man up and get food the way it was intended to be eaten.
Life is short. Don't forget to live a little every now and then!

WORKOUT 2/14/2012
Complete 50 overhead squats for time (M:95#/65#). The bar starts on the floor. Any time you lower the bar from the overhead position to below the top of your head, or you put the bar back onto the floor, you must do 25 double unders before continuing.

Nice Sumo hair Atsushi.
You gotta put pepper in the ketchup too and then stuff some of the fries in with the burger...that is why California rocks for sure!

Great Post today Freddy! I live in Texas and have for the last 11 years. However, I am a native Californian, and I totally get what your saying... all though Texans have a pride to rival Californians. Either way, good things. Oh, lastly, Good luck to you and the mighty Chyna in the open, regionals, and the games!! Chyna is my dark horse this year... after last years debacle! #ChynaChoCFFittestWoman2012

Has Five Guys made it out there yet? That's the burger pride of the Mid-Atlantic. I've never had In N Out, so I don't know how they compare.

Sheldon, Five guys is delicious!!! The first time I had it was at the CrossFit Games two years ago. There is a Five Guys two blocks from the Home Depot Center. There is also a Five Guys here in Fremont. It's a stones throw away from an In N Out. I still like In n Out better, but now that you mention it, I'm getting me some Five Guys next time I'm at that shopping center =)

There's another place called Elevation Burger that is popping up. It's like the hippie version of Five Guys. They serve grass-fed beef and 100% organic toppings, cook their fries in olive oil, AND they have milkshakes and malts. I usually go with a 4-patty "Vertigo" burger, an order of fries, and a chocolate malt. I've never felt so American.

Vals in Hayward is the best old school burger joint. I doubt anything there is organic. It's just good.
