Everyone has a song that gets them fired up to workout. This song just totally makes me want to drive straight to the gym and train. I don't know why every time I hear it I think of CrossFit.
Truth of the matter is that when I am in the middle of a conditioning workout or in the middle of a big (for me) lift, I can never remember what music is playing on the stereo. All I know is there is something playing in the background that I always hope is louder than my heavy breathing and groaning.
I always think it is funny when people put headphones on for a conditioning workout at One World. If you can recall the music while you are in the middle of "Cindy" or "Grace" or "Fran" or any other workout, then you aren't working hard enough! You might as well be listening to an audio book. Of course, maybe you are trying to drown out the sound of your own misery. I get that....
What is the song that gets you fired up to workout? Share with us by posting the youtube link to comments.

I'd really like to throw a Super Bowl Party at the gym. We can rent a big giant TV, rent some chairs, and have potluck food. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get the game tuned in on the Super Bowl television network for the day. Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can do this? Also, I would want to test run your suggestion this weekend so we can make sure it works. Please post to comments or email me at freddy@crossfitoneworld.com.
Also, let's start a Super Bowl pool. $5 a square??? Who's in? I'll get it hung up this week.

HUGE MISTAKE ON YESTERDAY'S POST..... The new 10:30 am session is on Monday Wednesday, and Friday not Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Sorry for the confusion. I was already deep into some vodka and a bucket of fried chicken when I typed that....

WORKOUT 1/22/2013
- 5 rep max sumo deadlift
Then....
Complete 7 rounds for time of:
- 10 hang power cleans (M:95#/W:65#)
- 10 ring dips
For conditioning workouts, the hang power clean does not need to start at the top of the knee. It can be intiated with just a short dip. Finish the movement by standing upright and having the elbows in front of the bar.

Since Super bowl is free-to-air, you would just need a HDTV antenna.

The problem with these things is that they were prone to interference, at least when I last used them 3 years ago.

Another method that can be used to watch the Super Bowl at One World is with a Slingbox, where you can stream your home cable TV from any device with an internet connection. It is a bit pricey, but a choice nonetheless, and perfect for those who are out and about all the time and don't want to miss their shows.

Oh and music: Anything from Rage Against the Machine, Three Days Grace, and Metallica.

You can stream the Super Bowl online; a lot of mobile devices have 1080p HDMI output these days. But I agree with Mr. Art, if someone has a Slingbox that would be a very good option.

High definition picture quality via an over-the-air antenna is as good & many times better than cable since cable will oftentimes compress the signal to get in more channels. I use over-the-air to get my local channels & the picture is fantsstic...& free to boot! It can be prone to interference like another poster mentioned so it would be best to first test to see how strong your CBS signal is at the gym. Digital signals are also highly directional so you'll have to adjust the antenna to find the sweet spot. Also another option might be computer based - the game will be streamed live on NFL.com & CBSSports.com so perhaps someone can connect their laptop to the television. (Not sure how picture quality will be with the streaming option since I'm sure the bandwidth load will be high for the event.) Hope this helps!
