WEIGHTLIFTING PLATFORM ETIQUETTE

Saturday morning was a busy session on the platforms. I took this picture standing on the training floor. If you notice, the water faucet is on the far wall under a Wall of Fame board. Unfortunately, there was no better place for us to put either the lifting platforms or the water faucet. A lot of you walk right in front of the platforms when you go to get water. This is not a problem, but please be aware of what is going on on the platforms when you walk in front of them. If someone is setting up for a lift, either stop and wait until they are done OR walk across the floor on the other side of the gym. It's very distracting to have someone walk in front of you when you are setting up for a big lift.

Also, please don't stand directly in front of a platform or sit on a bench in front of a platform if someone is working on the platform. Again, it's very distracting! And last but not least.... Do not sit on a bench directly in front of someone getting ready to lift and stare them in the eyes. That's just fucking weird!!!

Someday, we will expand again and set up a separate weightlifting area, but that day is in the future. Please practice proper gym etiquette in the present.

I'm going to have all the trainers start reminding everyone during the training sessions about etiquette around the platforms, and Brad will start making it a part of the intro privates.

Open Gym Saturday Fun! I caught Lyn, H1 , and Big Dave getting their Grace on during the 11:30a to 1:00p session. Sorry I didn't refocus when I moved out to get all three peeps on camera. They definitely look a little blurry.....
