First day of our new expanded schedule, but the numbers were definitely down. What was the reason? You pick:
- You were still too sore from last week to come to the gym today.
- You were freaked out about holding weight over your head and walking 30 yards.
- You saw "run around the block for time" and you simply pussed out. (It's only 1.1 miles!!!)
- You were still deeply depressed or hungover from drowning your sorrows with alcohol because the 49ers lost the Super Bowl.
Believe it or not, I study your results. I look at the average times it takes for you all to complete workouts. I keep track of what wokouts draw big numbers and what workouts draw smaller numbers. I check the loads you are lifting. I check out what happens at the begining of the week and compare it to what happens at the end of the week. All of this information is considered everytime I program a workout. Monday was an easy day and a fun group session. You deserved it, and you needed it. Kudos to everyone who showed up.
I'm really stoked about the expanded schedule. The athlete to coach ratio in all the training sessions is much more manageable. 10-12 athletes in a session is ideal. Looking forward to the day we will have to expand the schedule again.

Programming a run longer than 800m seems to be the most effective way to empty out the gym. It was true in 2009 and remains true today

Definitely #4 and also being in Tahoe may have something to do with it.

#3 in a way.. Decided a quick run around the block wasn't worth a whole hour of time especially since I was going to take it easy on the lifts.

First day, first wod at OW.I have been doing workouts@home for almost 2yrs,a closet OWer as Anna called me!!This type of wod if done @home would've been easy to pass on,but since I was there being held accountable,it was great! The run was a bit odd, just because I usually try to run in a location where I.m not alone.Just needed to practice awarness training.Thank you for a fun class ;-)
