I still don't know what hit me. Was it a nasty bug or did I have food poisoning? I woke up at 5:40 am on Thursday. Over the next 12 hours, I visited the toilet over a dozen times. I was at SWAT training most of the day and tried to eat lunch with the team. I will tell you right now that 5 Guys is only the best burger in the world going down. It's not so pleasant coming back up. I left training early and got home by 5 pm. By then, I was achy and had the chills. Chyna gets home from her coaching gig and turns out she is feeling the same. I was so miserable, I didn't even want to open my laptop and post on the blog.
Chyna and I both downed some night time flu medecine and crawled into bed. A lot of tossing and turning and numerous trips to the bathroom, but I managed to stay in bed for 14 hours. I climbed on the scale at 9:30 am and had lost 7 pounds since the morning before. Even after a shower, I only felt so-so. So weird.... No congestion. No sore throat. No snot nose.
Thank goodness for coaching. Being around you One Worlders for my 10:30 am and 12 pm coaching session made me feel a lot better. (I was careful not to get near any of you in case I was still contagious). Despite still hitting the bathroom a lot, I felt wayyyyy better. I even downed some chicken broth and noodles. Funny how you can go from feeling like you are dying to feeling almost normal in such a short period of time.
Saturday morning's Open Workout 13.2 is still a go for 11 am. If Chyna and I are not up to it on Saturday (and Atsushi cuz he's nasty sick too), we will hit it up on Sunday. Hope to see you all there Saturday, and I REALLY hope you avoid whatever blindsided me.

After nearly 10 years of being allergy free, I've been battling mysterious and completely new allergic reactions (trouble breathing, reactions to stuff in the air and to food) since we entered March. I'm learning that allergies are often the root cause of most of our ailments like headaches, energy levels, etc. it for sure weakens your immune system. The trouble is identifying those root causes. Anyway, I think the allergens this year are nuts and making us all sick. Or at least making us more susceptible to being sick

Did you all eat Girl Scout cookies recently?
Posted by: Lancaster | March 16, 2013 at 03:32
But some local honey, two table spoon in a tall glass of warm clean water and mix it, drink it first thing in the morning. The local honey carries lots of anti- allergic properties , and also change your pillow cases everymorning.hope you guys feel better.
