Pretty much what I figured. I post a 5k run, and suddenly everyone has a case of the sniffles or a scratchy throat......
The good news is that 32 of you showed up to run a 5k. A bunch of you PR'd. Several of you were proud that you managed to run the whole thing without walking. That's awesome.
Congrats to David at 4pm who came in the door at an astounding 20:23. It put him 3rd on the Wall of Fame! His 3rd place joy was short lived after 16 year old Alonso crushed the run at 5 pm with a time of 20:07. Alonso moved to 3rd and bumped David to 4th. You guys were back so fast I barely had time to update my Facebook status...... Great job guys!!!

We wil be holding a group training session Saturday morning to get everyone involved in the 2013 CrossFit Games Open Qualifier. We will start at 11 am. Anyone is welcome to come. We will run small heats until everyone is done. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE OPEN TO PARTICIPATE!!! You also can scale the workout. Anyone not registered or scaling the workout does not need a judge. All registered participants MUST have a judge to do the workout. This will be a low key but fun event. Come cheer on your fellow One World athletes.
Here is a video of Maria and I doing the workout on Thursday. Yes, it is as horrible as it looks.....
Maria hit 150 reps and I hit 154.

very solid effort Freddy, and I say this in good fun, but I couldn't help thinking of Billy Madison while watching you snatch. Freddy, at no point in this video were you even close to anything that could be considered a snatch. Everyone in this room is now worse for having seen it. I award you 154 points, and may God have mercy on your soul...that said, you're a strong, fit MFer

Eww....13.1 looks just as bad as when I attempted it! Great job Freddy & Maria. Hey, an ugly snatch is still a snatch especially when you have to work that hard!

HEY FRED D. GREAT JOB AND PROUD OF YOU SON! GET THE JOB DONE ANY WAY YOU CAN BECAUSE THE CLOCK IS TICKING. JUST ONE MORE. JUST ONE MORE. JUST ONE MORE. IT AIN'T PRETTY WHEN YOU GET TIRED,SO WHO CARES IF IT COUNTS AS LONG AS YOU GET THAT WEIGHT WHERE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. YOU JUST WANT TO GET ONE MORE. NO PAIN NO GAIN - THEN YOU GET TO REST - YAHOO!!!
DUH, NICE SEEING YOU CHINA. BOY, YOU ARE TALL!! (AND SKINNY) AS FRED D'S COACH, YOUR JOB IS TO GET HIM TO DO ONE MORE. THEN ONE MORE. SHOUT AT HIM, ENCOURAGE HIM, IT HELPS - I KNOW. TRAIN HIM TO TRAIN HIMSELF. SET THOSE MINI GOALS AND GO AFTER IT. SELF TALK, WHAT IS YOUR SELF TALK? IT BETTER BE "I CAN DO ONE MORE!" OR "I AM DOING ONE MORE!" YOU CAN ALWAYS (TRY TO) DO ONE MORE. LOVE YOU BOTH,
