I've been putting some serious time in at work, I'm sorry for the sloppy posts. The worst part of the work experience is commuting from UC to San Fran. This process, work and travel time, takes 15 hours of my day away. 9 hours are then left to coach, train, sleep, poop (everybody poops),clean myself and clean the pad.
That leaves me little time to eat, much less prepare the meals that are going to help me lift heavy things as fast as I can.
I understand the situation that I am in, so I accept it and work around it as best I can. It would be easier to stop at a fast food joint on my way to work, or to order take out with my cohorts. It would be easier, but succes revolves on discipline not easy. We all set goals at the beginning of this challenge and vowed to follow some rules in order to succeed. I know its hard, but.......
THis is what easy gets you.
I'm writing you this because temptation is soon around the corner. Your previous diet is begging for a second chance to clog your arteries, to elevate your blood pressure, to spike your insulin levels, and to pollute your colon. Many of you have lost so much weight in such a short time. Why stop now?
Resist the urge, and continue to eat clean.
We all have priorities. Some of you have kids, and partners to take care of. Pets to walk, and homes to tend to. It is a matter of choice that we are embracing this challenge, but I hope, as each week passes, we begin to understand how this challenge is really a lifestyle.
- I know it's hard to eat when its time
- I know it's hard to ignore the rice, bread, sugar and pasta
- I know it's hard not to get sloppy drunk when you've had a rough day at work
- I know it's hard to keep track of the carbohydrate intake
- I know it's hard to eat so much protein
I know what you are going through, because I'm there with you. A beer and a rainbow cake remix would make me happy. In the end however, the beer would lead to ten and my clean n jerk will never reach 300.
Revisit your goals and ignore temptation like you ignore the homeless man on the corner, holding that cardboard sign that says, " Just out of jail bitches, feed me."
The end will be worth it, I guarantee this much!
Send me your story, your frustration to alex@crossfitoneworld.com or xfitalex@gmail.com. Keep up the great work, and keep making the right choices.
Love your post!
