The One World RX'd Checklist Challenge went off even better than I expected on Saturday, 5/1/2010. Thirteen boys and girls stepped up to the test:
The event was so much fun. Kudos to all the participants. I think they all realized that the challenge in it's entirety was extremely demanding. Big thanks to those of you who came out to watch and support. Special thanks to Big Tony for being the grill master, and to Maria for being the official photographer (photos already up on the One World Flickr account on the left side bar). Great job by Chong helping me out with proctor duties.
In the end, seven peeps graduated from the One World RX'd Checklist Challenge Class 01:
From left to right: Chyna Cho (CrossFit Unlimited), Chris Stroud (CrossFit One World), Louie "The Ninja" Hung (CrossFit One World), Tyler Begiebing (CrossFit Unlimited), Dal Atwal (CrossFit Unlimited), Raz (CrossFit One World), Jason Kinser (CrossFit One World). Special congrats to Chris and Tyler for being the only athletes who aced the test with no second chances needed.
The event took almost three hours, but that was my fault. There were some dumbbell, medball, and d-ball equipment errors on my part that definitely slowed down the show. I will have that fixed by next month's Class 02 attempt.
Some of you were sooooooo close. The next One World RX'd Checklist Challenge (Class 02) will take place on 6/19/2010. You have six weeks to get ready for the event and turn those weaknesses into strengths. I'll have the new registration link up in the next few days.
For those of you who attended, please post to comments on what was good, bad, or how it could be better. Thanks!!!
