The never ending quest for perfect workout shoes...............
I've been pretty happy training in my Chucks, but the shoe isn't very comfortable when I have to run any distance longer than a 100m. Last week I picked up some Nike Lunarglides and have done a handful of workouts in them. It's pretty comfortable and extremely lightweight. The color is a little bright for my tastes, but all in all, I give the shoe two thumbs up so far.
Here is an excerpt from the Lunarglide review on www.runningshoesguru.com.
"We were really curious to test drive the LunarGlide, and especially to check how the dynamic support system actually works. First of all, when first worn, the shoe feels lightweight and very comfortable. The lining of the upper achieved its goal of delivering a snug fit while at the same time being soft and padded. The last is quite curved and the toebox roomy. It all promises a comfortable ride.
On the run, the shoe is extremely cushioned (in a soft, bouncy way) especially in the heel. It is a pleasurable feeling, especially if you are used to harder support shoes – but some runners might not like it. As for the support, our testing felt the shoe delivered some support, but we don’t believe it’s enough to support a serious over pronator on long runs.
A mild pronator, or a neutral runner who starts pronating when the run is long are who we recommend this shoe to. These runners will love the Lunarglide, as the shoe will provide an amazing level of cushioning while preventing excessive pronation. Runners who seriosuly overpronate, might enjoy a soft, lightweight and cusioned ride that offers them some degree of support, but we recommend it only for shorter runs."

Ok, so that is the guy's version of my shoe. So is Chyna giving you a hard time about that too?

I hate inov8. They were way to tight for my feet. I have wide feet.
When I was powerlifting at Diablo, they would pretty much only allow chuck's. that is a very uncomfy shoe.
I like my Reefs :)

I love my innov8's! Distance or sprinting, box jumps, rope climbs, everything.. Only problem, the all black flite is no
longer available and they are a little pricey..
But my second favorite pair of shoes are the Nike eclipse.. But that lunar model looks pretty similar.. Lightweight and fits like a glove with a little bit of padding.. Any shoe that fits that criteria would work.. But let's not forget.. They have to look good too! :)

I love my inov8s. But, any running beyond 400 meters takes a toll -not enough there to absorb the impact. Definitely can't climb the rope with them. Good for body weight stuff. But, not enough height for wallballs!

I thought Id give the innov8 a try but they are only good for running straight, like a nancy type workout otherwise they suck. Cant do box jumps in them cant cut, cant rope cllimb in them.
