If you have to ask...

Papa Bravo, act like a man and post your name.

@Papa Bravo - How can Millie Z or anyone know who they are talking to when you don't use your real name? Awkward statement to pose to Millie, don't you think?

No one said CrossFitters aren't passionate! ;0)

@ @SUSHI - TTHHHAAANKKKKSSSS! HAVE FUN IN CHICAGO! =) <3

@ JOR - I LOVE THAT YOU GUYS ARE ENJOYING THE PROGRAMMING. I AM DEFINITELY NOT AN EXPERT AND DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING, BUT I AM HAVING A LOT OF FUN DOING THIS. I LIKE TO THINK I HAVE A PRETTY GOOD RHYME AND REASON WHY I GIVE THE WORKOUTS I GIVE. I PROGRAM BY THE WEEK SO I TRY NOT TO BE TOO REPETATIVE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU THINK I CAN IMPROVE ON OR I AM MISSING. =)

Something I forgot to mention... Sorry Chyna for all your pain, and heartache over this. Speedy recovery girl!!

Papa Bravo, sit down and shut up bro. You're embarrassing yourself.

@millie z: You'd better damn well know who you're talking to, before you make a 7th grade school boy/girl threat like that!

@Freddy: I didn't mean to offend, but I'll apologize now, if I did. Sorry.

Just look at the scores. The women who finished 1 & 2 on the chipper "finished" 9th and 10th on Amanda. Note the word finish is in quotes since they actually barely started Amanda.

Papa Bravo, let my fist find its path of least resistance to your chin. ;-)

Papa Bravo, you couldn't even man up and put your real name. Epic fail in your self-righteousness.

Fred-

You are whinning, though far from it to me to call you a bitch. You took the "path of least resistance"! In this case, you're madly in love with a cute girl, so you did the predictive, yet classless thing. You complained on the "boards". The classy thing would have been to make sure Chyna redoubles her efforts, and maybe use a little strategy next time. "Strategy" is not a bad word. The "path of MOST resistance" would have been to zip it, but given the "driving force", most men can't do this(metaphorically, or verbally).

Chyna, first of all, thanks for your words and once again showing your spirit and character of using this to improve even more.

Now, I know it has been a rough and crazy time and this probably isn't as important, but I want to reiterate something. YOU TOTALLY ROCK AS A COACH! WOW, YOUR PROGRAMMING HAS BEEN PHENOMENAL!

After the 150 KB swings, I have to admit last night I grimaced at the snatch/bj WOD for today...my shoulders were already thrashed...then I thought, whatever...let's do this.

This early morning there were like 10 of us at the box and after some cool snatch coaching by Brad, we all hit it and hit it hard. In one corner there was Miles, Jess, and I grunting out loudly every snatch...it was funny and it was cool. I think we did it Chyna Cho style!

So, that to me was CrossFit...courtesy of Chyna Cho! Thanks...very cool...very awesome...kick ass!

@ Chyna. The words of a true champion.

Freddy - You are not a whiney bitch. If that had happened to my girl, I would have felt the same way.

Chyna - If I had been the athlete that it happened to, I would have felt cheated. There are still many wrinkles for CrossFit HQ to work out of their scoring systems/rules. To miss out on going to the CF Games based on some of those issues is beyond frustrating. After a year of training it is soul crushing.

Glad to see that you are turning this incident into fuel to fire you up for next year. Freddy posted a video link to a youtube video called 'The Race' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM5A1K6TxxM a while back. May this be your 'fall' and this next year of training, next year's regionals and 2012 CF Games your rise.

Congrats on kicking ass on the Amanda WOD on the 3rd day of competition after not completing it last year at the Games. You rock!

FIRST OFF - I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT THIS WEEKEND, AND THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE FIASCO.

@ ALVIN - YOU ARE RIGHT, IF I HAD JUST DONE BETTER IN THE FIRST 4 WORKOUTS I WOULD HAVE MADE IT. BUT I DIDN'T DO BETTER. I DID THE BEST I COULD AND I ENDED UP TIED FOR THIRD. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. BUT I DO HAVE TO SAY THAT I DID DO ALL THE WORK THAT WAS ASKED OF ALL THE COMPETITORS. I DID EVERY SINGLE REP OF EVERY SINGLE WORKOUT. AND PER THE RULES ON THE GAME SITE, THAT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ME TO THE CROSSFIT GAMES THIS YEAR.

SHOULDA. COULDA. WOULDA. I KNOW. I GET IT. HEY,I AM NOT GOING TO DWELL ON THE FACT THAT I DIDNT MAKE IT. THAT WILL CHANGE NOTHING. BELIEVE ME, I AM GOING TO TURN THIS FUCKED UP INCIDENT INTO THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO MY TRAINING. THANK YOU ALL FOR SUPPORTING ME AND EVEN IF YOU DON'T, THANK YOU FOR VOICING YOUR OPINION. YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO FEEL WHAT YOU FEEL.

Freedy,
Thank you for bringing this to the community's attention. You did the right thing. They did not mention it in the highlight video or summary of the game and it is a very news worthy development. The games are discredited so far as this crossfiter is concerned. I'm sure HQ does not care since they are in it for the $$$ now and it's not really about fittest. I'm sure there was a solid business reason for this rule. It certainly was not about preparing for the unknown. I think if a first responder had to choose between working with someone who can't complete Amanda and someone who can, the choice would be the later. Jenny has no business competing in the finals. I don't care if she was doing Crossfit 2 days and cleaned everyone's clock on 5 of the 6 workouts. If you can't do all 6, you fail.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this up.

Doping rules do apply BUT there are sooo many ways around it and I doubt that crossfit would ever expose one of it's popular athletes for using. Although I dont agree with using peds for competitions like "The worlds fittest man/woman" just because the nature of the comp, I do think they serve a important purpose in other pro sports, and I am not talking about physical enhancement but more so injury recovery. People want their favorite players to play but even the best players get injured, now how do you think these guys are able to get back on the field so soon?

SORRY FOR THE HIJACK

I would like to know do doping rules apply to the games? I have been so out of touch this past month.

Freddy, you're a whinny b*%$#, =) I kid I kid, but I agree with you. Rules are rules and she technically had a DNF which should speak for itself. And although she put in a good fight, Chyna actually did Amanda as prescribed by the predetermined rules. Its admirable that you are fighting for your lady!

Question; If Chyna whould have done better in the previous 4 workouts leading up to "Amanda", because she "trained 90 minutes a day since August", would you figure she wouldn't let a "NEWBEE" come in and beat her!?!?! Look, I love your posts Freddy, and I am actually a Chyna fan! But it is what it is. Chyna will be back, and I look forward to seeing her lay waste to the Norcal region as Annie Thoirsdotter did in Europe, or as Camiel LeBlanc did in East Canada. This is the only way you don't sound like a "Whinny Bitch". Sorry Bro, better luck next year with the Amazing Chyna Cho. Also, good luck to you, at the games!

Someone who can't do kipping muscle ups has no business in the regionals. This is a disgrace and it completely discredits the games. What if she goes on to win the entire competition but can't even do a basic movement like a kipping muscle up? Weak sauce.

Hell No Freddy!! That is some serious Bullshit!!! Feeling for you guys, Chyna must be devo... I know i would be..
Keep up the good work! From down under, Australia, Adelaide...

That's hella funny Eric!!

Hey, on another note, I did a 2 min Fran yesterday but didnt finish my last two pull-ups on the 9th set, So do I get to post my 2 min time ? can I still call it Fran? :)

I think it is pretty obvious and bold to any normal person that if you do not finish a workout you are out! It should be pretty black and white. Oh well , just hit it harder this next year chyna and make a bigger statement next year.

Not at all. You're just keeping it real!

It's all good Chyna... Micheal Jordan and the Bulls went to the eastern conference finals and lost 3 years in a row before eventually winning a championship... They eventually won 6 championships.

Keep your head up

Crossfit will never be a credible "sport" until they get the whole scoring/rules/judging thing in order.

As it stands now and as evidenced by this past weekend scoring, athletes are better off "playing a strategy" than giving each workout their all. What a joke! Jenny had a perfect strategy, bust out some reps to get less of a penalty and then move to the last workout much more rested and fresher than the other competitors.

So maybe we'd be better off with less rules, professional judges (versus volunteer ones who count snaking push ups, butterfly pull ups and unlocked overheads as valid reps), and a less convoluted scoring system. Perhaps also having ALL athletes do all the workouts to completion (reps or time) would also help.

Freddy, you are not a whiny b**** and Chyna, you were robbed

No, of course you aren't. You are just laying it out as honestly as you can. You admit you are angry and yet you are respectful of Jenny (as well as in your follow up comments). That shows true sportmanship...and besides you are standing by your lady as well...absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just shows your love and caring and your desire to make things fair. How could that ever be considered whinnig??

I agree with you Freddy, you're not a whiny bitch, you're speaking the truth my friend, sorry for Chyna.

Y...eee....aaa....NO!!! NO YOU'RE NOT!! You're RIGHT!!! Man I hope something happens at HQ and they send Chyna.
