Just to prove that CrossFit One World wasn't always a "No Kids Zone".......
Back in the day, we had a dedicated kids self defense program. In August of 2007, we added a kids CrossFit program to the self defense program. Initially, Brad, James and I all took turns coaching the kids program. We all hated it. Eventually, we dumped the self defense part and made it just fitness. I took it over figuring that if I worked these kids like dogs and punish then for anything they did that would piss me off, they would all quit. In a few weeks, my kids class doubled in size. The kids (being dumb kids and not kowing any better) thought they were having a good time. The parents loved it that I "disciplined" their children. Uhhggggg.
We eventually turned the kids program over to another instructor. Within a few weeks, all the parents pulled their kids out of the program because the instructor was too "nice." Go figure!
