I really can't think of a good reason to spend $20 on signing up for the CrossFit Games Open Qualifier if you know you are just a regular guy/gal who likes to do CrossFit for fun. Do you really need to know that you came in 238,578th place in the World or 8234th place in the NorCal Region? Maybe knowing this doesn't concern you because you've never done a CrossFit style competition before. Now is time to pop your cherry AND register for the CrossFit Games Open Qualifier.
Our friends at Diablo CrossFit & Diablo Engineering just announced the Average Joe's Competition taking place on April 12th at Diablo CrossFit Martinez. I've checked out the website and the list of "movements that you should be able to perform." There are numerous One World folks I can think of off the top of my head who are ready for this competition!!! This is the perfect competition for you folks looking to break into that realm of competitive CrossFit. In order to qualify for the Average Joe's Competition, you cannot be placed higher than 200 after the first two workouts from the 2014 CrossFit Games Open Qualifier. This is an individual competition, and they are only taking 100 men and 100 women, so you better register fast! Here are all the important links:

- Determine your max height box jump for the day
- Determine you max distance broad jump for the day
Then....
Complete 3 rounds for time of:
- 15 calorie row
- 25 wall balls (M:20#-10'/W:14#-9')
- 25 sumo deadlift high pulls (M:75#/W:55#)
- 25 box jumps (M:24"/W:20")
- 25 push press (M:75#/W:55#)
You can start at any movement as long as you stay in order.
