I was surfing Facebook this morning and read a post about a CrossFit gym owner who was fast approaching the 700 members mark. HOLY SHIT! The facility must be huge. I don't know how you keep track of 700 people. I have trouble remembering everyone's names at One World, and we only get 60-80 people working out a day. (I also drink a lot, and that probably doesn't help with the memory. Haha.)
I like our gym the way it is. I can speak for the other owners of One World and say that we never opened One World with the intent of getting rich. We all just wanted to have a really cool gym to train at with a bunch of really cool people. I think we succeeded.
I may not care about getting rich, but I care about each and every one of you. Because of my job, I'm not at the gym as much as I'd like to be, but please know I am available for you (almost) around the clock. Got questions about a workout? Worried about how to train around an injury? Notice a typo on the blog that is driving you crazy? Concerned about something at the gym? Hit me up via text (510-209-8990). I'm usually awake until midnight every night, and on W/T/F nights, I work graveyard. So, I'm pretty much available at any time. If I don't answer back right away, I will get to you first chance I get. One World is your gym just as much as it is my gym.

- Bench press: 3/3/3/3
Then....
Complete as many rounds as possible in 8 minutes of:
- 10 burpees
- 10 wallballs (M:20#-10'/W:14#-9')
- 100m run with ball
This is the workout programmed today for our own 2014 Masters CrossFit Games contender, Diane Urban. We made it the One World workout too. We need all of you to try and crush this workout so she tries to catch you. We are all the pace car today!

Well said Freddy! I really like(d) that about you, your gym and the other coaches at OneWorld. I worked out at your gym for like 5 weeks around Christmas and New Years in 2012/2013. The personal attention, small classes, and family type welcoming atmosphere is well appreciated.

What a heart felt post! Happy valentines day Freddie! Hahaha ya! I've thoroughly enjoyed the time at One World. I suspect my Crossfit experiences differs than many due to the many differences you listed in the post. Cheers! Keep up the good work and atmosphere.

Building a bigger CF box doesn't get you rich either, since you need more Coaches & equipment & space because CF'rs love to come to the gym. But, you get to help more people get fit. Do not do this if you want to get rich!
